This automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist owners of the third generation MK III (2011, 2012, 2013 & 2014) Ford Focus sedan or hatchback in removing the interior door panels in order to upgrade the OEM speaker, add soundproofing material, replace the power window motor or fix a faulty electrical switch. The tools needed to complete this procedure include a small flathead screwdriver, a star bit screwdriver, and a standard sized flathead screwdriver or a plastic automotive trim.
To remove the speaker, you'll need the Torx T-25 screwdriver, a 5.5mm socket (or a 6mm still works) and a ratcheting wrench. The first step is to gently pry out the circular plastic screw cover located behind the door opener handle with the small flathead screwdriver. Remove the screw behind the door opener handle by turning it counter clockwise with the Torx T25 star bit screwdriver. 12-in-1 Usb 2.0 Almighty Flight Simulator Dongle Driver. Set the cover and screw aside in a safe place.
Then move to the outer edge of the door panel and pry out the vinyl rubber trim panel near the top with the small flathead screwdriver. Remove the screw behind the cover with the Torx T25 screwdriver by turning it counter clockwise. Set the screw aside in a safe place.
Then move to the front edge of the plastic trim piece along the side of the arm rest. Gently pry off the front part of the trim piece with the small flathead screwdriver and gently pull it off the side of the arm rest. Be careful when you pull off the rear edge of the trim panel since there is a plastic hook on that side. Next pry out the rear edge of the plastic switch panel inside the arm rest. There is a plastic retaining tab at the front of the switch panel, so do not pry out the front edge to avoid breaking it. Carefully lift the rear of the electrical switch panel and remove it from the arm rest. Press the release button on the electrical connector and pull the plug straight out of the socket.
