It's free and extremely good. I have Weatherfax 2000 as well but haven't used it for years as it is nowhere near as good (IMHO) as the JV software. It's also expensive. The free version does put a couple of lines saying 'Demo' down the screen (these dsappear if you buy the full version) but this in no way impedes it's use. There are other free software downloads for weatherfax available and some prefer one or the other, but JV seems to be as popular as any. Just a thought. You may find MMTTY, also available free, better software for RTTY (radioteletype) for the receipt of text weather information from centres such as Offenbach. We use this even though JVComm will happily decode RTTY, because you can change the background colour and the font size etc to give far better contrast.

A real boon when your eyes are tired! We have a bright yellow background and a black/bold font. If you do decide to go with the JV software and have problems with setting it up, PM me, and I'll send you a copy of my 'standard' settings that several people have used to get them started. Once you're getting faxes, you can then refine the settings for your computer if necessary.
