I do not have an audio interface or monitors, due to space and cost and my living circumstances, so please take this into consideration when giving options. If you want MORE hands-on control then buy an iPad and run TouchOSC or similar 'design-a-midi-interface' apps where you can have as many pages of knobs and sliders as you want to control things.
